Eduardo Gomez Mendoza - Head of CRH Ventures

Eduardo Gomez Mendoza

Head of CRH Ventures

Eduardo joined CRH in 2022 to launch CRH Ventures, bringing years of experience in the building materials and consumer goods industries.

Prior to joining CRH, Eduardo led the M&A team at Cemex, overseeing acquisitions, divestments, and other transactions across Europe and AMEA. He held positions across the Global Corporate Strategy and Business Development functions. Before Cemex, he worked at PepsiCo in the US and LatAm.

Eduardo holds a B.Eng. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Metropolitana and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Ramy Fam - VP CRH Ventures

Ramy Fam

VP CRH Ventures

Ramy Fam brings nine years of experience across construction, building materials, strategy and innovation.

Prior to his role in CRH Ventures, Ramy worked at Amazon where he managed their flagship program, Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) in Spain. Before Amazon, he had extensive experience in construction working in the CVC and later the Corporate Strategy and M&A arm of Cemex and in the Project Management departments of AECOM and SNC-Lavalin where he oversaw the project cost and planning across mega projects in Oil & Gas, Mining, and Transmission & Distribution. Ramy holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from McGill University and an MBA from IE Business School.

Chris Fortunato - VP CRH Ventures

Chris Fortunato brings more than a decade of venture capital investing experience having invested in companies all over the globe including notable companies such as Jetti Resources, Mighty Buildings, Solugen, Rappi, and Reonomy.

Prior to his role at CRH Ventures, Chris focused on growth stage investments at Soma Capital. Prior to Soma, he led the venture capital strategy at Manhattan West Asset Management. Chris started his career at KEC Ventures, a family office for a tech entrepreneur, where he led investments across several asset classes.

Chris holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Katrina Namutulo - Operations Manager CRH Ventures

Katrina Namutulo

Operations Manager CRH Ventures

Katrina began her career as IT Consultant at Deloitte in London, where she specialized in digital transformations within the Cloud infrastructure space. During her time at Deloitte, she focused heavily on managing the deployment of cloud technologies and building supporting processes.

She then transitioned into IT Operations within the building materials industry when she joined CRH in 2019. She held this position for 3 years in which time she was responsible for CRH’s Email, Collaboration, Identity and Access Management Platforms for Europe, before joining CRH Ventures. Katrina holds a Bsc in Business Management and Information Systems from Lancaster University.

Cameron Spek - Associate CRH Ventures

Prior to joining CRH Ventures in 2022, Cameron worked within CRH Global Strategy and Development, Building Products supporting global strategic initiatives and M&A efforts across Europe and the Americas.

Prior to joining CRH, Cameron worked as an Investment Banker with Citigroup in New York City supporting cross-border mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings and other strategic industry coverage across various sectors.

Cameron received a B.B.A. of Finance and Certificate of Entrepreneurship Studies from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business. Outside of professional pursuits, Cameron is an avid skier, enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, attending concerts, and watching Formula One.

Nicola Bertolini - Associate CRH Ventures

Before joining CRH ventures in early 2023, Nicola worked at Exus Management Partners as an Investor Relations & Group Senior Analyst overseeing wind and solar portfolios in Spain and developing relationships with investors.
Prior to joining Exus, Nicola worked as a Corporate Strategy & Business Development Analyst in CEMEX’s CSP team, gaining direct exposure to M&A and Corporate Strategy.
Upon graduation, he started his career by working in a Business Development role in a start-up in London.
Nicola holds a BSc in Business, Mathematics and Statistics from the London School of Economics and is fluent in English, Italian and Spanish.
