EnviCore’s thermo-chemical activation process can work with feedstocks including clay minerals such as Kaolinite and Illite, recycled concrete paste, post-consumer glass, bottom and fly ash, along with a variety of mine tailings from operations including copper, gold, diamond, clay, silver, aluminium, iron, asbestos, nickel and cobalt, zinc and lead.

The investment will support the development of Envicore’s first-of-a-kind (FOAK) plant in Calgary, helping demonstrate the technology at commercial scale. In parallel, CRH and Envicore will continue to work together towards industrial-scale validation.

The relationship began through CRH Ventures’ Sustainable Building Materials Accelerator and developed through technical engagement with CRH teams.
